The AMA's aired last night.  (In my opinion), here are a few of the best red carpet looks of the night...

Taylor Swift

I love that she went short for this event.  She has a tendency to overdress for the occasion, but this time I think she did it just right - love the dress and love her hair a bit more tousled.

 

Miley Cyrus

After a series of (to put it kindly) interesting outfits lately, I thought she looked great.  Sexy but sophisticated!

 

Katy Perry

This dress is actually Oscar de la Renta which surprised me.  I like this on Katy - still playful, but not cartoon-y like she tends to go for.

 

Lady Gaga

Even though the extensions are a bit much, I like that she's going for more pretty than freaky these days...she has recently been named the new face of Versace, so maybe it has something to do with that?

 

Christina Aguilera

Va va voom - she's worked hard for that body - good for her!  Love the hair too!

 

Ke$ha

Another example of someone who tended to go costume-y in the past and is opting for pretty.  Who knew under all the trash bags and glitter make-up this was going on?  

 

Jennifer Hudson

Fresh off the pixie cut trend - Jennifer looked great in this orange and pink dress.

 

Nicole Richie

That tan with that white dress - amazing!
